I think you are right about the Toms. The colors are off a bit, especially some hot spots. Thanks for bringing this to my attention |

Cindy what a wonderful extraction and your image carries a wonderful warm and emotional "motherly feel". I personally like the darker background as it offers more drama and has a stronger contrast between the flamingo and background. In addition, your darker background has a bit of a lighter color in the middle that draws my eye into your subject. I find my eye moving to the mother then to the chick and back again up through the long legs thus keeping my eye in the center. Your painting of the tail feathers and butt are superbly done and the texture in the feathers fabulous. This is another winner. |

Hi Terry, your crop is perfect for the emotion in this image and really brings my eye into what you wanted me to see. I like how you extended the background of the bushes to really allow the viewer to concentrate on the emotion of the individuals offering a nice contrast of lights and darks. Leaving in the slight tilt to the ride adds to the drama and emotion of such a ride. Something I still do not like today, but, can feel the thrill these individuals were expereincing. Nicely done. |

Such a sweet moment and it has natural gestures and emotion that is wanted in nature images. I feel that the image might take on a more natural look if you took off some of the oil paint texture around the face. It is perfect for the hair, but to me adds a slight distortion of the face.
I did my visual feedback with the mixer brush but using a mask and brush, it would have the charming whiskers in the original. Just a thought. |

Excellent points and I think that is why I didn't paint it yet. There is a lot of redoing the basic turkey structure that needs to be done. |

Your decisions on art treatment added to the image and brings an interest to the image. Focusing on just the boats and spray add to the image and keeps my eye on your main interest of the "Rooster Tails". To my eye, I feel there needs to be room for the boats to move into and so I added more to the right and did a different crop. While I am not always caught up on rule of thirds, with a tighter crop the two boats end up in the power points using rule of thirds. Just an idea. |

You started with a lovely composed Fall image and the art technique enhanced the colors and attention to the interesting details in the leaves . I feel the success of this painting is the composing you did in your camera. To me the group of triangles in orange really add interest and a creative perspective to the image. Very nice. Don't change a thing. |
