56 Feb 19 Comment Love the composition and complementary tones of blues and shades of Orange/yellow. This gives your photo and painting a wow factor right from the start. Your painting enhanced the already wonderful photo by smoothing out the grain and noise. Nice work. Feb 13th
56 Feb 19 Comment The texture is fine and doesn't bother me. It has a rugged look that it seems to you fits his character. It is a nice pose but the light might of been a bit too hot or strong.

In my visual feedback, I lightened up the far right on the rim of the glasses and took out the highlight that was near there. To my eye I went straight there.
I added the specular highlight in the left pupil and added the half moon in the iris like the right eye.
I also removed the dark marks on the neck and forehead as they looked like blemishes.
I also reduce the shadow from the rim of the glasses on the left. I might of actually gone too far, but you hopefully get the general idea.

56 Feb 19 Comment Absolutely charming and comical. Love the center baboon. To me, the use of 3 was a great composition technique and your layering and masking skills appear outstanding. The painting technique is just enough to create an artist statement. Nice work. Feb 13th
56 Feb 19 Comment Pat what a creative composite and wonderful composition that really tells a great travel story. I agree with Lisette and Elinor on the swirl. You might have a small fireworks burst that you could reduce in tone to fill that space. But leaving it out would work, too. Nice work. Feb 13th
56 Feb 19 Comment This is a fabulous composition and photo of the Cormorant. I love the feathers and tones of the image. The painting actually to my eye seems to take away from the texture of the feathers and the beauty of the bird. What would happen if you only painted the rock and background and left the bird as is. Just an idea. Feb 13th
