Thank you Pat for your comments. I think the best part of the painted images is they are so much brighter. I am getting so I really only like the painted ones. |

Thank you Cyril for your positive remarks. I am using Corel 2017 but I am just barely familiar with it. I am trying to do my art work for this group without using auto-painting. |

Hi Kathy, I love the old house and it is decorated for Fourth of July so the fireworks really fit. In my review, I added more of the clean fireworks and replaced the smoked one and then added a color layer filled with a light pink using soft light mode to bring all the elements together in one color harmony . The composite of the fireworks was a quick one so I know you can do it better. With the color layer, I also used a mask to take off a bit from the steps and bottom of the image. |

Pat, I like both the photo and the art piece. I have never used Alien Skin but I like the results. I agree with Cyril that the blues seem a bit over saturated. In my review image, I toned down the blue tones in front, I changed the color of the shirt of the one player so it was in color harmony to the other colors and I cropped to show only three players. The one on the left seemed to pull my eye out of the image and take away from the main subject of the main three players . Taking off some of the painterly effects was a good choice here as it helps us relate to them a bit more. It is always hard to know how much to take off but you seem to have done a good job with this. |

Cyril, I love the tones of bright blue and saturated colors in this image. The painting is just enough to add an interest and yet is not over done and adds to the beauty of this scene. Your composition of the steps as a leading line and the resting spot of the woman walking up them is well done. I really like the way you brought in more detail in the building in the upper right. However, it is still quite light and appears to draw my eye to it. Maybe crop or darken this area a bit more. |
