71 Jan 20 Comment Razor sharp! Fantastic job! The snow is so white against the orange hoodoos. They should be selling this print in the park gift shops. It doesn't get any better!

I went once the 1st of Jan and the temps in the morning were -17. I didn't leave the hotel till mid-morning for fear of messing up the rental car. haha

71 Jan 20 Comment What a fantastic shot and location! You did great under pressure! The monotone with selective coloring actually makes me think of an animated Christmas movie. I think it does have the snowy scene feel. Awesome work! You should be very proud of your composition! Jan 20th
71 Jan 20 Reply Thanks John! I will give it a try, I understand what you are saying. I really would prefer the reflections be the attention grabber. Jan 14th

71 Jan 20 Comment This is a lovely frosty shot! I like the frosty grass layered with the fog in the background. I think you processed it well. I can't think of anything to add. Great shot! Jan 14th
71 Jan 20 Comment Lovely shot. The clouds reflected in the water are creating nice patterns. Cropping to the left of the stump on the right narrows the focus more toward the 'island' area in the center. Sounds like you had a nice trip aside from not feeling well. I'm looking forward to seeing the waterfalls! ;-) Jan 14th
71 Jan 20 Comment Oh my goodness!! I love all the lines. I can't decide if I want to follow them top to bottom or left to right. This is a beautiful shot displaying the delicate geometry found in nature. I love it!! Jan 12th
71 Jan 20 Comment Great composition! The clouds do give a sense of movement in the sky. Your stars look good with no movement. I really like the Milky Way centered closely between the trees. I think you did a great job!

Did you research how long you could leave the shutter open before you see movement in the stars? If not, Google 500 Rule and it should help reduce the ISO and still keep stars pinpointed.
