71 Aug 18 Reply Thanks Trinda!! I have carried a tripod around too. It can be a hassle. haha I try to remember my phone, but I didn't in this case. I think I will wait till Oct, when it's cooler. haha I was with a photography friend and sometimes I get distracted with someone else along. We photographers can be such loners. LOL Aug 30th
71 Aug 18 Reply Thank you Theresa! I have to go back and try the pano with a tripod. I didn't know how long we were hiking and got lazy on bringing the tripod. haha Thanks! Aug 26th
71 Aug 18 Reply Thanks Marla! I'm going to go back and try that. I didn't think about the pano at the time cause I didn't have my tripod. I'll have to look and see if I took a shot of the hole, maybe I can combine by hand. Thanks! Aug 26th
71 Aug 18 Reply Thank you John! When I walked up to it, I saw the tree contrast to the whole immediately and that's all I wanted to try and capture. I thought it looked amazing. Thanks! Aug 26th
71 Aug 18 Reply Thank you Virginia! I didn't bring my tripod cause I wasn't sure how long the hike was gonna be. a friend suggested trying a vertical pano, so I'll go back and give it a try. Aug 26th
71 Aug 18 Comment Gorgeous shot! I love the composition with the sky lift. It really tells the story. Your HDR combining of shots gave it wonderful tones. Personally, I like the grass lighter. It brings some brightness into the scene. but, if it draws your eye away from the main scene, I can see darkening a bit. I think there is such beauty going on in this shot. I can see why you love shooting in Switzerland!! Aug 25th
71 Aug 18 Comment This is a beautiful capture. I love, love the dramatic sky. I think you did great with the light and combining the shots. I see what the others are saying about the focal point. I sometimes just like a shot of what it actually looked like. I like the DOF and the light range of mountains in the back. I think everyone has given all the suggestions possible. I love the shot and the feeling of the big sky and open space! Aug 25th
71 Aug 18 Comment What a colorful little guy! This is a really nice capture! The light background really highlights him. I also like the barbwire as a contrast to the bird's delicate stature. I like it!!

I made an adjustment to your description. Like Virginia, I didn't even see it. I also don't know why the <br>'s were in there. Sorry I didn't notice it sooner!!

71 Aug 18 Comment Beautiful shot! The star burst is quite amazing! I love the arches and glow of the sun. I think cropping the butte out gives more attention to the star and arches. It's a great shot showing the strength of the rock and delicate design of the arches. I love it!! Aug 21st
71 Aug 18 Comment I love cone flowers! Great choice on low perspective shot with the dreamy cloud in the back. It's a lovely garden shot. Aug 21st
71 Aug 18 Reply Thank you Mike! I felt like the land on the top gave it a Jurassic Park feel with the trees looking so small. I will go back with my tripod and try a pano shot in the future. They are really amazing! Aug 15th
71 Aug 18 Comment A very striking composition! I love the layers and hues throughout the hills and valleys. The tree on the right really adds to the composition giving some perspective for where the viewer is. The snow on the tops really gives it a chilly feel.

I think you did a great job!
