71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Virginia! I do like your crop. I will have to try it on my raw file and see if it is sharp enough. I was wanting the vastness, but I do see the crop as a stronger shot. Thank you for the edit and suggestion. Jul 25th
71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Hassan! I did try and adjust the white balance once. I will try again. If I can find the spot again, I could try and capture it later in the day. The sun would be to my back. Thank you for your comments! Jul 25th
71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Pat! I'm going to play with cropping it some different ways and see what I like. I agree the clouds on top have to go. Thank you! Jul 25th
71 Jul 17 Comment I love the light and shadows on this landscape!! It reminds me of the Tuscan hills of Italy. I agree with cropping the bottom a bit. The little swatch of light on the left doesn't add to the photo to me. If you didn't crop the gash, could you do a content aware fill and have it match the rolling hill? Then you wouldn't loose too much of the bottom.

I love how the buildings feel snuggled into the hills. It feels serene. This photo reminds me of something you would see hanging on a country kitchen wall. Lovely job!

As a kid, rolling down those awesome hills would be so fun! ;-)

71 Jul 17 Comment My favorite type of shot!! You did fabulous with the water! I like the smaller fall in the background and the golden trees at the top. Everything is sharp. There isn't anything I can suggest for this photo. Beautiful capture! Jul 13th
71 Jul 17 Comment Welcome Hassan!! So glad to have you join our group!!

I love the in the moment feel of this shot. The people give some perspective to the size of the mountains. All the patterns with the greens, stones and snow make it very interesting to the eye.

I agree with Mike on bumping the contrast and clarity. Did you use Lightroom dehaze at all? (I don't know what processing programs you use) I think making the mountains pop just a bit more would be my only suggestion.

I think this is a great shot!!

71 Jul 17 Comment This is a New Mexico scenic for sure! I love the wide feel of the sage. The drama in the clouds is great. I would like to see how the neutral density filter changes the feel of the clouds. Scrolling the photo up, I feel like cropping half of the darkest clouds on top leads my eye into the photo easier. I think the clouds explain the hazy feel of the mountain. I like the centered feel of the mountain as a focal point between the sage and the clouds. I hope I can get out and get some shots like this soon! Nice shot Mike! Jul 13th
71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Trinda!! I liked all the little details too and wandering in the photo. I like Marla's crop too. The white clouds on mine don't really add anything and I agree it draws you eye up which I don't really want either. Thank you so much for your insights! Jul 13th
71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Marla! I do like your cropping. It brings more attention to the fields. The white clouds at the top don't add anything. I was trying to keep it an 8X10 average size without losing too much of the sides, which meant keeping the sky. Thank you for your creative input!!

71 Jul 17 Reply Thank you Mike! I tried to fix the white balance after you posted your note and reloaded my photo. The dirt looked too red. i am going to try and bring it down a bit more. I understand there isn't a single focal point. There wasn't a way to get closer, but what I wanted to capture was the fields. I would have liked more horses, but not way around that.

It looks like Marla cut some of the trees out as well. I just didn't want little nonde green blobs sticking out from the bottom. Thank you for your insights!!
