Great capture!! The cart gives me the "in the moment feel". Without it, I think it's a nice landscape, but the cart adds the work feel. The low angle to the crops does as well. Almost as if I'm looking up from working.
All the colors and hues are wonderful! All the colors give a harmonious feel. I don't see anything I can suggest. Wonderful capture!! |

I feel like I'm looking out the window. I think the processing is great. I love the tile roof coloring at the bottom. The forest with the tall pointy trees give me a feel of protection for the castle. I really love the morning light and tones throughout the photo. It does have an old world feel. I don't have any suggestions to offer. Lovely capture! |

I definitely love how you processed this shot! The water is beautiful. I really like the white waves around the rocks. The tree does lead your eye up and I see what Virginia is saying. Having something in the water that could lead your eye back down to shore might be nice.
I said I was a purist until I started learning PS better. Now I'm experimenting more in little ways. I recently added a tiny Bigfoot to a group of trees in the background for fun. I got some great comments on Facebook. haha
Lovely shot! |

This is a great photo!! I feel a little like Man against the ocean. The rocks have so much character and the colors in the water are wonderful. The fisherman shows the scale of the rocks so well.
The only question I would pose is, what if you cropped the bottom to bring the rock line to the bottom 1/3 horizon line? I feel like removing some of the dark rock hole makes the fisherman pop out a little more against the water. I think the V shape would still be recognizable. What do you think?
I'm kinda jealous, cause I really like this shot a lot!! Great job! |

Thank you Pat!! I have uploaded a similar horizontal version. I think I had a problem getting the bush, first white hole with the rock peaks on the sides. They kind of covered things up.
Interestingly, I don't believe there is any water down there. The only place the ranger directed us to with water was miles away. I think that is just patterns in the salt. When I walked on the salt at another stop, it looks like ice. Definitely an amazing National Park!
Thank you for your comments!

Thank you Virginia!! I have added a similar horizontal version, without the bush. The hills on the sides seemed distracting to me. I had to stay a little higher to get the first big white hole. I thought the bush and portrait looked better.
I did use dehazer, clarity and contrast, but maybe I didn't go far enough. I like Marla's adjustments. I usually stay in 20s-30s tops on clarity and 15-25 on contrast. Guess I can try and push it a little more?
Thank you for your insights!! |

Thank you Marla! I did do contrast, clarity and dehazer, but not warming or adjustment brush. I haven't used brushes in LR, mostly in PS. I must not have done enough of the others. I think I must be doing it a bit conservatively. I like the adjustments you did.
I have uploaded a horizontal version without the bush. At the time, I don't think I felt I could get the bush due to the rock peaks on either side of the frame. Thus vertical pic.
Thank you for your insights and suggestions!! |

Thank you Mike! I think the lower perspective would have been good too. I can't knee or squat due to my knee, but I try to get as low as possible at times. haha I appreciate that you think the softness is ok this time. I uploaded a similar (no bush due to side hills) horizontal shot, since some of the others had mentioned it.
When I'm with non-photography friends, I feel pressured to not take too much time. Thus I don't always get as many shots as I would alone. I suspect I will eventually return there on my own.
Thank you for the encouragement! |

Beautiful light and composition! Love the clouds added wispy feel. Like Virginia mentioned, it feels very balanced. I think it's wonderful as is. No suggestions. Great capture! |
