Nice to have you on board. Looking forward to your photos and comments on ours.
I liked you photo, but felt if the waterfall was the main interest it needed to be seen. I cropped the photo and lighten up the area where the falls and the cliffs are shown. In addition, I gave the area a little more contrast. See attached. If you intent was to show the falls and the area, then just lighten up the falls and the cliffs behind it.
Again, nice to have you with us. |

Nice work in pulling out the details in the mountain and bringing out the color along the ridge. Did you get the bird further into your photo? You did a nice job of bringing out the variious shades of grey in the clouds. |

Arne, I like what you have done. It gives the photo mystique of something might happen. Just enough light to still see the reflection in the lake. For you first time using light painting, I think you did remarkable. |

Michael, were you using a converter for your lens. If so, how do you like it?
When were you in Death Valley? It's one of my favorite places to go. Each Thanksgiving my friends and I spend the weekend there, roaming the area. Finding something new each time. Just not this year, guess why?
I like the way the water reflection leads the viewers eye to the mountains. No snow on the mountains, so I assume you took this in spring or fall. Did you crop the photo to get the shape presented? I found your photo to be a bit flat. So I adjusted it with curves, and the lighten the salt flats and the reflection to give more dept. I also put more contact to the mountains. See attached.

Larry, lesson learned to not only protect the camera with a raincoat, but to bring one for youself. This picture has a surreal glow to it, which I very much enjoyed. I liked the way the shore forms a "U" shape that directs the viewers eye toward the light on the right. Your semi-long shutter speed worked to get the spray from the waves hitting the shoreline. |

Ron, this is a great photo of the inside of the library. I found my eyes being distracted by the fan on the left side, in addition to the dolly and small fan on the floor. I cropped the photo on the right to get rid of the fan and the corner. On the left side I cropped out the shining item by the desk. I lighten the ceiling to bring out the design and the wording on the wall. I removed the shiny item in the center of the photo. Finally I darken the forgound to pull the viewer's eye to the center of the photo. Hope you don't think I took too many liberties with your photo. It is a very good one, that I think needed just a little more.

Paul a very nice fall scene with the road leading the viewer's eye into the photo. Your adjustment of the colors brought out the leaves along the road, which helps keep the viewers eye toward the trees. Nicely done. |

Do I really like your decision to white balance to a bluish leave. The sun and the sun's reflection on the lake is outstanding, I went first to the sun, then followed the reflection to the edge of your photo and finally when to the clouds in the sky. Really liked the way you blue and the clouds in the sky. Your horizon is just right. Only suggestion is to remove the bird the sky. |

Larry, I REALLY like this photo. However, having the sun in the middle and the clouds moving somewhat distracted from the image. I cropped the photo to 20 x 8 inches and I believe that may have solved the issues. If not, it was a thought!
