To all of you, I apologize for submitting this photo. I was in a hurry and should have looked closer at what I was submitting. The tree is out of focus, but I liked the mood and the simplicity of the picture. |

Your composition was well done. I liked the various levels of the water and your settings to get the water cascading over the rocks. I cropped your photo and converted to a 16x9 to make a more powerful photo of the water. |

Hattie, you have caputured the essence of the mood. you composition is right one. I wonder how you took the photo without falling in the water, you must have been holding onto the post of the railing. I would remove the bench. I tried what Le suggested of getting more detail of the branches, but didn't like it because it brought out items where the trees were, which didn't add to the picture. |

Arne, this is a wonderful moody shot. I could just see me walking to the end of the pier and putting my toes in the water as I went through my thoughts of the day. Nice conversion to BW, your course is working. |

The shot caputures the mood, but the tree on the left takes away from the shot. I liked the fog and the sky. I modified the photo to see what it would look like without the tree on the left and the branches on the right. Not sure it improved the shot or not. |

What a nice find. I especially liked the interplay of the arches and the sunlight on the floor. Your position was very good, the row of benches pulled my eye down the asile to the arches at the back and the green of the landscaping. Nice! |

What a nice shot of something we see every day, your surrounding. I really enjoyed the sky and how it enhanced the whole photo. The "Bear" is a nice touch. Nicely done. |

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments. This is a case of trying something different that didn't work. Here's a revised photo, in color, with some of your suggestions incorporated |

Trey, your second attempt is much better. You were able to enhance the colors and your sky replacement really makes the photo pop. I think I would have used a small amount of vignette to focus the viewers eye. |

Good job Wanda. I liked the way you removed the yellow items behind the head. Very good detail. |

Very nice composition. I agree with the others that you might try adjustment brush for darkening ther highlights and lightening the shadows. The detail on the rocks in front could be sharper in Photomatix Pro 6. |
