Piers, I love the resulting impressionistic feel of your image and the soft tones. Don't lose this in your files because I think it will be very valuable--even by itself it would make a beautiful abstract print. |

Thanks for showing your rendition. Wish I had Gigapixel, which would have helped for my cropped version. I think it would be cool to have the pics side by side to show both the magnificance of the forest, as well as the magnificence of the residing eagle! |

Glad to have you as part of our group, Carter! More recently I've been using my iPhone 14 Pro to take impromptu photos as you have done here. The light is very interesting on the barn. Had the moon not been partially covered by the clouds, it may have been more difficult to catch it with your phone without blowing it out. You might try pulling out the shadows of the ground and background some to give a little more depth. Look forward to seeing your photos. |

Thanks Stanley. I felt luck that at that distance, it resulted in a half-way decent outcome. |

Jim, I love the Arches--went there about five years ago. The problem at that time was my husband couldn't do any walking. Thus, I missed out on a lot of the distant arches. When we were there, the sky was totally blue and I was wishing for some clouds! I feel you could play with this shot just a little to bring out more color in the arch and the sky. As is, though, it is beautiful. |

I've never tried stacking (other than bracketing) and cannot imagine doing that without a tripod. You have a much steadier hand than I do. The colors of this specimen are beautiful, and I like the way you have darkened some of the leaves to make those colors pop even more. The framing was good, especially to separate the image from our dark screen background. Well done! |

Interesting! LR did a fine job for you in removing what you didn't want. Curious...since this is actually someone else's art, would it be allowed in a competition? For your purposes in your home, I think the pair would be an outstanding and simplistic--great conversation piece. YOU ARE WHAT YOU DRINK! |

Thank you, Stanley, for the little history lesson of the Chinese opera. The soft colors are beautiful with the violets of your main character seeming to streak away. I am perplexed how you can get your main character's face in focus and everything else that seems to be a panning movement. Well done, |

Thanks. Another trade-off is from that distance you can't see the eye. |
