Happy New Year to you, Karen. I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful shots. To me, your dahlia really pops against the green background. I'm surprised that you were able to have it so sharp without having the leaves sharp since they were so close. Great bokeh! Beautiful! |

Before realizing this was a composite and not seeing the suitcase, I thought that maybe this was a sailing race--or something. What I especially like about the end result is it really makes you wonder about the possibilities. That had to be a lot of work, and I commend you for the end result. Fun! |

That's a WOW to me. I thought you had been to Africa. Wonderful shot in a zoo, which is always so difficult for me. I believe your original could be used with just a few allowable edits, but what you have done has resulted in a beautiful portrait. Maybe I need to give zoo pictures a chance. Well done. |

This is a good example of why I should never say that I don't go anywhere to get any photos. I like the idea! I feel you have edited the tones in the leaves to make the image eye appealing and helped to accent the curve of the entire image. The out-of-focus right hand leaf may be intentional but probably more from your distance. Because it catches the eye with it being closest to the viewer, I wonder if it might be less distracting if you darkened it a little more. Thanks for the inspiration! |
