Thanks for the comments, Jim. I agree that the lower right red is distracting. I worked with it some more before submitting but just kept getting it worse! |

I have recently joined a Minimalistic Facebook group, and your image immediately struck me as being minimalistic. I had wondered why you didn't take out the upper wires, and I like your new version. I like that you left the pole and wires on the left side that help ground the image and tell a story. I admire your work of all the layers. Don't get it lost in your computer--deserves a print. |

A beautiful woman portrayed so well by the photographer. Because the background is soft, I do not think the it competes with the young lady. I do feel that the foreground, what she is leaning on, is a contrast in color tone and lines that might be improved with a something different for her to lean on--perhaps just the bench. |

Karen, I think you did well with the materials provided. The placement of flowers, shoes, and petals work well, other than your comment about wishing the flowers were above the border. I played with the image a little and masked the background to make it darker--opposite of what you did. It gives it a totally different look making the subject stand out more and not blend with the background. Just a different look.
Hope you are now immune for a long time now! |

What great detail, especially after seeing how bright the original was. I would have just scrapped the image thinking I wouldn't be able to recover the detail. Good decision and beautiful edit. I, too, like the colored rendition. Now, how can I get one of those? I sometimes hear them in the woods by our house, but I would have to be lucky to catch it with some light. |

I believe this is a challenging image to edit with it being so busy, but you have done a good job of making it eye catching. I used to use HDR almost all the time but got out of the habit--probably because I don't lug my heavy tripod very often. I like the crop that Martin did, but I would not crop so much of the water out--even if it means adding a little of the smooth water to the bottom. |
