When looking at my phone at the original before any editing, it definitely had that color. Maybe a meteorologist could explain! |

Jim, I had the phone braced against a vertical post on the deck and took many shots as I thought another was coming!
I always seem to have a halo when working on masking, but I didn't spend too much time on correcting since it wasn't a competition. Just a fun shot and lucky to be able to get it without the lightning getting too close for safety. |

Stanley, this image certainly captures my attention. At first glance the entire image seems to be a blur until really looking at it and hitting upon the in-focus face of the main subject. I like how the main subject seems to have her own background to bring her to your eye. I would find that very difficult to accomplish. Good that you had the opportunity to take several shots. Nice capture. |

My favorite is the black and white because I feel the shadows look more natural. Your original 3 would be great for another study. |

Nice history of your business. I especially like the crop that brings the fire to George. I like the editing that gave a little grungy look! I think George would like a copy of this. |

The umbrella did it! And great realistic shadow. I never would have thought to bring some ND filters to allow for the long exposure. It looks so serene and will be sad to see the rest of the pier torn down, but I guess the next hurricane could have done it anyway. Great accomplishment in fulfilling your vision. We stayed at New Smyrna Beach in 10/22 right after Ian. Love that little beach town. |

I like the rich color adjustments you made. I do feel that it may have gotten a little too dark in the upper edges and that portion about midway that looks like a shadow of a person. I wonder how it would look toned down just a little. Looks like a neat trail. |

Jim, a wonderful minimalistic composition. I have been to Sleeping Bear Dunes twice in the summer and cannot imagine the COLD there in the winter. Must have to really dig your feet into the snow to keep from sliding all the way down--or did you stay at the top? The shadows are perfect for giving the impression of trees instead of twigs. Great job!!! |
