Tor, since you were walking your dog, I assume this was hand held. Very sharp, and the feathers have great detail. I like the composition of the branches. I admire the high key shot. Our Club had a zoom meeting teaching this, but I never experimented with it. Did you do any editing of masking? Just wondering why the feathers around the head are so smooth. I get that result whether it's man or beast when I mask the background to change the exposure. Since no one else mentioned it, it is probably natural. Beautiful shot. |

Beautiful butterfly with the sharpness of all of the wirey looking body parts. In the perfect world the flower it is sitting on should be as sharp as the butterfly, especially since the flower below it is sharp. If you do not want to free transform the butterfly to a different location, I feel the next best edit could be to blur the sharp flower and crop some more. That way everything would be out-of-focus except the butterfly. Tough one. |

Your dancer must have really been moving fast to have her hair in this position, and you did so well in the stop action. We would not know she was moving if it weren't for that hair. I like the way she is on the 1/3 portion in both images of her and her eye contact to herself. The vertical and diagonal lines give the image lots to view. She must have been proud to get a copy. |

I am very taken back by this image. Everything about it has me studying how you accomplished this from the original. If it weren't for the line of mirror to the floor, I would have thought it was two rows of chairs back to back. I especially like how the gradient of the grays fade out and the window casing looks like shelves. I think this deserves to be hung in the museum. |

Those sliders do wonders, and I like how you turned a relatively dull image to a very vibrant one. I like the small amount of blue to contrast with the oranges. My eye is drawn to the dark corner in the lower right and would suggest decreasing the shadow there just slightly. I assume that top rail is kind of the horizon line and does have a tilt to it. Easy fix. Fun shot. |
