Piers, what a lovely flower (and bee). The entire flower is in focus, which I would think is because of your settings. I think that would have been more difficult if a macro were used. My first reaction was that you needed more canvas at the lower edge, which has been taken care of. I do like your original background color better because I feel the tone gives better contrast for the flower's tone, and I like the darker vignetting effect it gives. Besides adding more canvas at the bottom, I would suggest cropping some off the top giving it a nearly square format. Love it. |

Creative it is! Looks like a drawing, and I think the little color that you kept really makes it look even more like a drawing. Although Julie's edit does make her look prettier, I feel that yours gives it more of a Mona Lisa appearance. Perhaps you could just even out the left side of her lip a little. Love it. |

What a study of shadows. Really makes me want to open my eyes and look deeper into the subject. The picture without the shadows would not have been very interesting, but they give the image depth and have me think. Like why is the shadow on the far right have such a twist. Good crop! |

I love the simplicity of this image. The slight adjustments you made with shadows and highlights really make everything pop, as well as the liquid being poured over the ice. Great idea. Had to look up Aperol--makes my mouth water. |

What an interesting idea and flow that the image has, which I think would make a great commercial very large print in a modern office. I don't know what to say about the handle. It does have my eye move to it and stop, leaving me with a feeling of wanting to view more. Just not sure it adds anything to the image but just a thought. |
