What an interesting sho! One fascinating aspect of our group being from different countries is our terminology--such as "car park" to the U.S. "parking lot" Your cropping turns the location into a totally different image with it grounded by the train. I especially am impressed with your blurring of the train. I would never have guessed! Some office nearby would love to have this print. |

It's amazing what you can do with a long lens for close-up if you can get the right distance, I would call this THE STUDY OF A FERN. I am confused with the background and feel it shows its importance as much as the fern. Thus, I wonder how it would look to crop it to a portrait format. Have fun in the cypress forest. I wold think you'd get some beautiful colors in the fall if they do change. |

Piers, there is so much beauty to capture that perhaps you can just concentrate on a garden within the garden. To work with this one, I do feel the horizontal flip gives you the feeling of a better flow. I think pulling out the shadows will give it more depth. I'd like to walk in this garden. |

I admire your getting in there and continuing your photography in spite of the heat. I love the side lighting on the left and the shadows of the window framing and your color scheme. Like the others, the lace draws my attention more than it probably should. Although it seems to me to be out of place, I still feel that it might have a place in the arrangement if you changed it to maybe ecru and re-arranged some. I look forward to your next still life. |

I have often thought on long stretches of straight road what a unique picture the lines glistening in the sun would make. Never any place to pull over. You really caught a great opportunity of making it unique with the coiled section. Would be beautiful printed large for a commercial building! Good eye, |
