Thanks, Terri. There seems to be mixed opinions about whether to cut off that last horse. Would love to get down to get a lower perspective as you suggested, but unfortunately the spectator side is not a fence but a stone wall. You have to fight for a spot even there to keep others from waving their programs in your view, leaning over with their drinks, etc. BUT I keep trying. |

She is so beautiful, and I feel you have captured her so well. Depending on how you and Tash wanted the outcome, I believe your original with her not so bright hair looks more natural. BUT that just depends on what you, as the artist, wanted! Beautiful either way. |

Thanks for all the comments. Funny how once an image is posted, you see some edits you should have done. The first I noticed was that I had too much of the tree line. I have cropped that, used the linear gradient in the trees, did some burning on the bright areas in the trees, and cloned out the white square in front of the last horse. Thanks for all your suggestions. |

What a fun image! It must be fascinating to see parrots in the wild. You caught this at a perfect time to tell a story and would be a fun one to ask for a title. So many colors for a photographer that you captured beautifully with the bokeh perfect to set it off. Beautiful! |

Love the fact that we all hail from different parts of the world. I would never have the opportunity to watch hockey inside or outside without taking a trip. The action you captured is awesome. It almost looks like you placed the players in the correct position to get the white uniforms to alternate with the red, which I feel makes a pleasing image. Those of us who know the "rules" of not chopping off limbs do notice that arm immediately, but after all it is an action shot. A periodical would beg for that shot. Nice work. |

Love your creativity and what you've done with this leaf. I do like the yellow, but I wonder if the leaf were yellow, would the underside for the reflection have some yellow. Beautiful! |

Piers, I agree with Karen that the background is too busy and takes away from the concentration on the palm. I believe that a black and white version could make an interesting finished picture, but using Original 2 for conversion to B&W. Your second post is beautiful if you were after a tropical look. Fun stuff! |

I am not going to look at other comments until I make mine. I find myself concentrating on each section--first noticing the blue color, which I assume is mostly from the reflection of the sky in the remaining water, the reflection of the clouds, and then leading me to bright glow of water leading me out. I love the flow. I would like to see just a little more at the top edge because it feels to me cut off. But then I look back and notice the ripples in the sand and the bubbles. So much texture. Now I'm reading Karen's comments and Piers comments, and find you now have a third note on the same area! Nice study! |
