To me the most striking part of this image is the spray coming out of the smoke. I'm a bit technically challenged to know what to call it. The "lucky" part is the beautiful blue contrast of the water to be able to see it. And another "lucky" part is that you got your settings perfect so that you didn't have to wait for the next firing. |

Karen, I think your image was one of those "in the moment" and had to be captured in spite of the not so ideal conditions. I believe your edits have brought out the comical look of the bird that you wanted us to see. Love its colors that you have brought out ! |

This couple looks straight out of a 1940's movie. I like the fact they are not both looking in your direction--making it look more natural. Vehicles are so difficult with all the reflections on the windows, but it is natural looking. Yes, I too noticed that circle on the windshield and would encourage you to do something with it if you are going further with the image. Also, perhaps tone down the corner of the building next to his shoulder and leave a little more room on the side of his arm. Fun shot. |

I have wanted to try focus stacking but seem to use my camera more for the moment instead of a project. Great success story for the workshop. I'm not keeping up with new equipment. I'm assuming the 24-105 is macro but don't know what the "L" is. I feel you accomplished what you were after getting everything in focus, Look forward to seeing more. Maybe you will inspire me. |
