Susan, if you get LR/PS on your desktop, it is free on your phone. I would really highly recommend you do that. It's very difficult to edit on small devices. PS is not very intuitive, but you can get all kinds of help with Lightroom on internet. Is your desktop Apple? Before I got my laptop, I actually brought my Apple desktop to classes! |

Thanks, Piers. I debated about sky replacement but didn't want to mess up the natural blue sky day. There were a few whiffs of clouds, and maybe I could have brought them out better. |

What an opportunity to be able to photograph in the Antartica! I like how you have emphasized the higher peak for your central theme and the fall-off into a haze in the background. I played with it a little and feel that increasing the blacks helps to give it more definition. If your aim is to have it softer, then I would leave as it is. |

I love your "set-up" for this shot--both looking right at you! The composition is so good with the girl having room to walk into the picture and her foot position showing the motion. So many good things about this--diagonals, lines, squares, colors. I wonder how it would look with the contrast increased slightly--though I like it just the way it is. |

Welcome again, Susan. Looks like we are both into horses this month. I do love the little peek the brown horse is giving. I believe that the horses in the original were sharper and that Snapped may have softened it too much. There are so many programs out there to help your editing, and even Lightroom's last update upped its game in sharpening. Just research what your other club member's use. Most in our club use the combination Photoshop and Lightroom Classic for $10 a month. It will give you most of the tools you need. Good luck! |

Since you said you converted to monochrome, I'm wondering if the pictures are swapped, but my preference between the two is for the one shown. The expression is priceless, and I feel it is coming to land on me. I do want to see more of the bird. In my opinion your "Original 2" is more appealing, and that blurred background is what we aim for. |
