What a thrill it must have been to capture this. His face is the most important, and you got great detail. I did find that the blurred areas were distracting (hate that word), and the crop and sharpening Martin did, I feel, made the image pop. |

Thanks for your comments. I tried the portrait and like it better. What do you think?

Thanks, Piers. That was a pretty bad cloning out of the building on the right, probably the brush I used. The picture would have been nothing without the homes since the lighthouse is surrounded by buildings and land and only view I had. Perhaps cloning the left margin a tad will take out what is visible there. I'll try darkening the rocks. Thanks for the comments. |

I love this image and the story it's trying to tell, leaving it open to us for discussion. The crop is perfect with them coming into the scene and accentuating some of the beautiful architecture that definitely shows it is not the US. Great color! The moving action helps to emphasize the determination of their discussion. I believe he might be saying, "I'll show them the next time they take my ice cream!" Wonderful shot. |

Looks like we have some confusion in original and edited (also includes my original from my lighthouse). I believe you intended to have the B&W as your finished edit, and I like that since the water is such a murky color. I think what you have captured shows how "kids" can get along in play. They look like they are log rolling! Fun! |

The feeling this gives me is one of yesteryear. We cannot live without water and had to move on. The cropping to me is perfect in that the lines lead me to what appears to be nowhere. Keep up the artsy work--very interesting. |
