Thanks! I wouldn't know a toadstool from a mushroom. |

Your aerial reminds me of Diamond Head on Oahu, HI. I believe your catch of the sunlight on the mountain side really helped to pull out the geological formations. I would suggest pulling out the shadows just a little in the flat area, and in contrast bring down the highlights a little in the foreground. I would also suggest that you crop the lower section to just below the largest rock. Did you hike in there? |

I just looked at your bio to see where you live. No bio yet.
My opinion is the color because I do not feel the B&W has enough different tones unless you are able to pull out or add more contrast. The color, I feel, has more life and brings out the contrast of the old and new, and the blue sky brings out the buildings. Would it be allowed to soften the red on the back of the boat? |

Congratulations on your 39th anniversary. The years go too quickly as we just celebrated our 60th in August! I didn't have any flowers to photograph.😩
You have an artistic touch with your photography, and I like the story that this image shows. The reflection of the vase onto the table is my favorite part. If you were arranging the flowers for show, Martin's idea of more height would be appropriate, but I don't believe that was your objective. I love it the way it is! |

What magnificent colors--so vibrant. It's a shame that the left side is not as sharp as the right because my eye wants it to match. I do like the background color that Bev chose, which I feel has a nice contrast. It appears she sharpened that left side some. Do you think one of the sharpening programs might help? I hope these are in your yard so that you can give it another try next year! |

Jim, I'm first impressed with the pleasant colors--then all the lines! I like how the horizontal structure slightly changes tones as you go back into the image. I get the feeling it is a space ship, and the eyes are watching me! Was this structure symmetrical? At first it bothered me that the positioning wasn't centered, but on second thought it might be boring. I think it would be interesting to change it to portrait. Nice shot! |
