I tried getting her head into the 1/3 but would have had to sacrifice some of the room in front of her. I could get her eye on the right 1/3 but would just about have to square the crop. Tough with horses to follow that rule if I'm going to also follow the rules of space in front. What do you think? |

Wow, just got educated in Wikepedia for definition of a matilda. I always thought it was a woman he was waltzing! Nice history lesson.
When I do pictures in our church directory, I always try to make them look a little better by smoothing out some of those age lines and spots so that they think, "I don't look so bad." But there is the other side of bringing out the wrinkles that you have done so well with the grungy look that has given him character. Adding the music to the background gives it the significance he deserves , and I'm sure that Eric would love to have a copy of this image. |

Karen, what a beautiful capture. I like how the ferns spotlight the ducks almost as if the ducks are on stage. I would only suggest trying to do even more cropping to eliminate some of the darker areas to put more emphasis on the ducks. My suggestion would be to crop the left side to the ends of those three branches, just a little off top, and to also crop more of the lower water--perhaps almost halfway between the ducks and lower edge. Your image is beautiful as is if that doesn't work. |

I like your edits that you have done with the water and removal of the other branches. The water is calming and makes me want to watch him take off and dive into it. I do feel that maybe a little more water left at the bottom might have given a more natural look rather than a cropped effect. What a beautiful eye! |

This image looks more like Las Vegas. Good to know that it is now considered historic, as I guess most of St.Augustine is. I think it would be cool to see those rabbits jumping out of the hat, but it might have been too distracting for historical. I believe you captured the fun well with wide angle view you chose and driveway leading to the entrance. The reds against your dark blue sky are beautiful. My eyes do want to see the top of the left palm tree, but you may have lost some of that when straightening. |
