Agree the original crop shows more dynamics of the girl, but I also love seeing her full image--maybe to be used in telling a story with more than one image. |

Looks like we are all old enough to remember Mr. Ed, but with me it was my children watching it! |

I didn't need a 27" monitor to see that. Looks like I kind of slipped while I was doing some cloning! I will have to fix that if I'm going to ever use this picture again. I'm not sure about adding more breathing room because I wanted that square format but understand what you and Piers are saying. |

Beautiful editing, especially transplanting the hand! Your colors (colours) are vivid, especially the contrast of the girl's hair with your background. I would like to see more of her body, but that would mean a lot more cloning or keep the other people in (minus the cell phone). Fun historic shot! |

I am not a portrait photographer other than doing church directory photos. I can't begin to follow up with comments made by Martin. I will say that I like her hair showing on both sides but perhaps to just tone down the white slightly. Her chin and camera left side under her eye appear to me to be too dark--something I often get when trying to smooth out a complexion. But who am I to say--I think she is beautiful and congratulate you for taking the class. Is it a PSA class?

Looks like we had the same idea with our sunflowers. I feel you have done a great job of cloning out the extra leaves. I wonder how it would be to repeat some more of the upper left darker pattern downward because, to me, it seems to draw a lot of attention. I like the small leaves in the upper section of the flower to contrast with the yellow. I love sunflowers! |

Piers, I feel you have chosen a good crop to give more emphasis to the horses instead of the busyness of the angles behind them. The V of the tree against the barn bring it all together. Love it. |

My first thought, Jim, was I felt you should have the birds in focus with the reflection showing the serene look. But I changed my mind because I feel you achieved the ethereal feeling you wanted and the foggy appearance. I would only suggest cropping half way between the left bird to the lower end. I feel that might put more emphasis on that diagonal. The three's have it! |
