I think perhaps the confusion is in the title. Maybe something like "The Next Generation" or "Family Tree Continues" (branches...." |

Wish I had the something like this for our CC competition this month for motion. I do like the crop of the "original" because it just brings the child in closer. I think the child is so sharp and colors vibrant on either. I love the action of the water movement. I wondered at first about "why a cemetery" until I read your title. I believe your layers have been done well. If you can add a little space to the top, I feel it wouldn't appear so tight but no big deal in my opinion. I do think you have portrayed well the story of the next generation coming. |

Are you suggesting to add more shadows of the leaves in the upper left? |

Martin, I believe you have done an amazing job with your editing. Your original is one most of us would have just deleted, but WOW the power of editing tools that we have. The sliders have given you a beautiful 3-D effect. It does appear, to me, that it looks like an HDR, but I LIKE THAT! You have inspired me to go back to some of my older photos to see what those sliders can do.

Karen, you always do so well with your flower images. The colors are so vibrant, and the shadows from the sun shining gives it great dimension. I love the drops. My only suggestion would be to crop a little off the top--just above the top bud-- and then see if you might need to balance it better by taking a tad off the bottom. Looks like you'll have gladiolas from now on to play with! |

Hung, your bird is so sharp and beautiful. I wonder what your fStop was. You got a little bokeh on the branches to the rear, which is good. As long as you are not using the image for a nature competition, I would suggest you tone down the leaves on the left side since they are so busy--as well as the ones on the lower right. You might be able to clone out some. But I love this bird, and it has me turning my head to see what it looks like in the other direction. |

I really like how you made the panorama of this scene and feel you did an excellent edit. The clouds are beautiful and the rays really make the scene pop. Love that Luminar. |

I can imagine why you couldn't leave until you got the shot. I think the architecture and how it draws you out to the water is beautiful. I feel the one simple thing you can do is straighten just a little because I can see the uneven glass squares and the water horizon on a tilt. I would suggest lightening the building some starting from the top at an angle with the graduated filter and highlighting a little of the architectural detail at the ceiling. Awesome shot. |
