Hung, I love the shape and color of these blossoms and am wondering what it is. I feel the flower itself is right on--sharp, vibrant. Like Brenda, I would suggest cropping out the lower greenery just below the flower--and to also clone out what remains. I feel that would make the flower really pop.
Hoping that your back is getting stronger. |

I'm wondering if there might be a bird in that hippo's mouth! Interesting shot of something we certainly don't see in the U.S.--not even in a zoo. I agree with Karen that you might darken the rocks because my eyes are drawn to it--but not too much so that you can still have contrast with Mr. Hippo. I didn't notice the water at first; so maybe a little more contrast or color change from the rocks. His face to me seems to be a little soft, but maybe it's just my old eyes. I hear Mr. Hippo calling (I'm not answering).

Wow, I'm impressed for someone who claims she had been shooting just over a year when this was shot. You will be dangerous. I especially like the way everyone's focus is on the rider, and you even caught the bull's eye. Cropping just to the right of the rider placed all the emphasis on him. Nice job. |

Piers, what a beautiful landscape. I believe that your editing the contrast in specific areas has really made the image pop. Your tree on the right leads me right into the scene and has me follow the other vegetation up through the mountain. I like the crop that eliminates some of the unnecessary foreground. Great image.

Brenda, shooting hummingbirds is definitely a challenge for me at my feeder because of sky background that will always give a silhouette effect. I believe you have a good stop action of their wings, and I think you did a great job of cloning out the pole. I would suggest cropping the top underneath the first ring. And now that you have the experience of cloning, clone out the hanger. It might look cool to just have the feeder "floating." I prefer your color photo instead of converting to B&W. |

What an interesting looking swaggie. I like your processing bringing out the details of his face and in my opinion a perfect adjustment of his iris. Good cosmetic surgery! Your cropping, I feel, made the image! A real grabber. |

Thanks. The faded stem was my husband's idea! |
