Piers, in my opinion your original sun and sky have pleasing colors to me, but then the rays of your edit, I feel, make the image pop more. Thus, I am tossing between the two. I think I would like the edit better if there were not so much definition in the water (especially compared to the original) that I feel makes it busy looking with the lines of the sails. I am impressed with all your tools! |

First, I love that tree and want to see more of it. Is it a birch? Don't have them around by us. Looks like it would be a great subject for some more close-ups. To the image...what a fun and quick capture of the stretch--even the toes are stretching. I've never been able to catch the squirrels and chipmunks here because you have to be ready for them. So congrats on that. I like the edits that Karen did to remove the twig and cable that gave it a cleaner look. Stay safe while shooting those squirrels! |

What strikes me the most, Karen, is the contrast colors of the azalea and the green background. In my opinion, the leaves might use a little dodging and burning for light direction. I think you have a great ability in layering your photos. |

Thanks for the comments. I went all the way to f/14 trying to get more of the flowers in focus but realize that still didn't do it. I have not tried focus stacking and think it might be difficult with the wind with these tiny flowers. I need to experiment! |

Some kind of challenge. They move a bit faster than your usual theater photography. I believe you have caught a terrific action shot, nice curved line of horse and rider, good color. I think for an action shot it is relatively sharp, though the front section of the horse's body and legs appear to be soft. I would suggest that you crop about two-thirds of the dirt on the lower section to anchor them to the ground. |

Along with the lyrics, this composition is excellent. The expression in his eyes, to me, really tops off the storyline--the wow factor that is so difficult to get. I like the two basic tones in the image and how you brought the farmer to the foreground and making him almost larger than life! I wish I knew how to do all this layering. Magnificent in my opinion! |

Harry, I feel you made the right decision to convert this to B&W with its wonderful tonal ranges. I like the charcoal effect of sky and reflection. I am drawn throughout the image with its repeating curves. Nice shot! |
