Another unique capture. I like the many lines that have my eyes looking at one group of lines to another throughout the image. The contrasts of the the colors are appealing to me. I believe that the sky is a little distracting and would suggest you crop the image parallel with the roof and also at the bottom edge of the white pumpkin. I think this would help to put boundaries around the image to make it cozier. Also, since the white pumpkins are completely in the sun, I would suggest toning them down some. You have a good eye for subject matter that is a lesson to me to look for the ordinary. |

A very unique image, Laurie, and a mind that recognizes the beauty of something so simple. What strikes me most is the beautiful bokeh and sharp where it needs to be. This appears to be a trimmed rose bush, and I would suggest for you to do a little more trimming by cloning out the two stems on the far left. I believe that might take away from the squared look at the bottom. But watch out for the thorns! |

Hung, I like the diagonal lines of your capture--the boards, the building, the curb--that draw me into the picture. Although the colors of the boards are muted, I feel there is enough contrast between each one to give it a sense they were intentionally placed for the artistic effect of the colors. Since you have not captured the full length of the left board anyhow, I wonder how it would look to crop down to the bottom of the blowing palms. I think this might give more emphasis to the boards. Another nice street capture! |

Thanks. Last month I submitted my white tulips in a print contest. (That was the same image I used in our group last April.) I had purposely chosen a day to have them and these backlit by the sun. I learned from the judge of the print contest that tulips are the only flower you can photograph in the sun because of the translucent petals. |

It must have been your lucky day to have caught that rainbow, especially over the steeple. I believe your warm colors are soothing that makes me want to spend the day (or lifetime) there. I think your crop is right on to bring my eye to the steeple and rainbow. I would not have suggested anything other than it seems to me to be tilting slightly. But now I see Harry's edit, and I do like it. Either way it's beautiful. |

Again, Brenda, welcome to our group. Nice to have some young blood who can teach us old folks some stuff! I love your image with the sunset reflection in the water. The graduated color in the clouds and the angle of the strip of lower clouds draw me into the image. My only suggestion would be to crop about 1/3 off the clouds that would position your tree line away from the midpoint and not have equal amount of water and sky. Lovely image. |

Everybody loves a baby! In my opinion, you have done a good job of cropping the baby and making it look like a portrait. I think the eyes are perfect with the watery appearance. It appears to be sharp to me, and I like the softness of mama in the background that gives it a lovely texture. My eye is drawn to that shadow on the lower left, and I wonder if it could be changed to make it look more like the texture of mama but still leaving enough difference to separate from the baby's shoulder. Also, my eye is drawn to that little mark on the shoulder that looks like an "M"--but that is getting picky because I love what you have done to the image. |

Thank you, Brenda, and welcome to our group. In scrolling my image up, I agree it looks better cropped a little off the top. Thanks for the suggestion. |
