Laurie, I just went to the race track yesterday and decided to get wider shots because I'm always cutting off too much of the horses. I don't think I got a single good one because they are all so bunched in together. I believe this was your challenge here to be able to isolate at least a good portion of a horse. In my opinion the contrast of his head to the lighter horse was an excellent way to isolate him and the softer focus of the horse behind him. Great adventure! |

Al, very nice. I have been to Tubac, and I believe this would be a perfect picture to sell in one of their shops. I like everything about the perspective and your processing. |

Bob, to me since there is no dramatic light and no point that leads me in, I believe I would try to do some processing perhaps the graduated tool if you use Lightroom. I think there are numerous tools that you could use to give more dimension to the image you want to save. |

Hung, another good shot of street photography. It does not bother me to have his head completely turned because to me it gives the feeling of his not wanting to be seen in his unfortunate situation. Also, we are to have model release signed and sent with our image if the person can be recognizable. I also like the fact the entire chair is not shown--adding to the movement of him coming into the picture. I do agree with the others that the top section should be cropped just above his head to eliminate the busyness at the curb and shadow cloned out. I think you could work a little with the contrasts to give more depth. Continue with those story telling shots. I love them. |

A beautiful car, Harry. It is so difficult to get a good shot of a shiny car without getting your own reflection in it. I looked! To me your lines all converging to the back are what makes the image pop--as well as the red in contrast with the headlamp. Nice job! |

Thanks, Al. Sometimes I get so jealous of people who travel the world, and I forget what we have at our back door. |
