I like your contrasting color of the truck against the items on the ground, as well as the trees. I did not notice the vehicle on the right at first, and I feel it might have helped to show the contrast of the old and new if you could have taken the shadow off it. Looks like this might be a good shot for an ad to see what you can get at a junk yard! |

I'd say we are all getting pretty good. You changed the shutter to the other side, and I turned off the lights in my building! |

Gary, before reading your description, I kept waiting for my computer to focus into your shot. It appears you have nice lines and reflection. We all look forward to another day at lower speed--or a tripod. I wonder how Nik's fog filter would look to hide the blurriness.... Congratulations on being brave enough to post and take the beating! |

I love the lines and contrasting colors. To me it appears very sharp. I'm wondering how it would look to clone off the part of the run-off that is going into the black on the left. Although it is an old home, I think cleaning just those two little sections would make it more appealing to the eye. Great history recorded here. |

I feel the landing bird is sharp and and has great colors. But it is giving me the impression that the head was cut off and the other birds are gawking at it. Good contrast of the other two birds with the sky, though I cannot tell if they are sharp. In my opinion the green plant causes too much busy-ness of the shot. If everything were cropped tight around the landing bird, you would have a beautiful Indian headdress! |

Thanks. I worked and worked with the perspective and knew I didn't quite have it. Didn't realize it was the windows. I have since been told that it's best to have it on a tilt a little and will have to also try that. |

I always look forward to seeing your landscape images, and Lake Louise is a wonderful subject. I like the leading line of the rocks on the shoreline. Unless you wanted to print this, the lady doesn't bother me, and I believe gives perspective to the size of the rocks in the foreground. The only suggestion I would have for this beautiful image is to perhaps pull out some of the shadows in the mountain on the left and brighten the water slightly. Just something for experimentation because I think it's great as it is. |

I love this bad-hair-day bird. I am not a birder, so cannot help you with the name. I like the detail and sharpness of the shot with great bokeh colors that complement him/her so well. The curve of its neck leads me into the picture and right back out with its straight beak with the little catch light that has me stop for a second. I like the full frame cropping. Beautiful capture! |
