Hung, thank you for the suggestions. I worked on it a little more. What do you think? |

On second thought when enlarging your cropped image, Harry, I don't like how it cuts off the back. Perhaps a vertical crop might work. I plan to print this, so have been messing with it. |

You are blessed to have such a diversity in your travels. My first reaction to this image is how colorful it is even before reading your description. I am immediately drawn to the dancers on the right with my eyes leading out to the left, through the crowd, and then the beautiful sky. Just curious if you softened the crowd, if it might separate and enhance the dancers in front of the fence. I wouldn't want to upset the balance, so don't know if that would work. Beautiful sharp image! |

Gary, I so much love the soft water at the shoreline that I think really makes the image pop. I would like to have seen what the image looked like before your processing of changing the white balance, but I believe you have done well in bringing out the the tone of the golden hour. Your driftwood, I think, is the main focal point and has good texture and focus. If you roll your screen, I believe you will find your horizon is slighting leaning downhill to the right. Don't you hate when you don't see it until posted or printed?! Other than that, I believe it's a great shot that makes me want to go walk the beach--with my camera.

Such a beautiful woman. I believe you did so well in capturing the solemn expression, her vibrant colors and her motion. To me she appears very sharp.
Since you also captured her in the moment of her walking, you have been caught with the background and foreground that happened to be there. Thus, comes the after processing, which I know you do so well--cropping and cloning and softening the sun reflection on the wall. I would like to see how you would do that rather than my suggesting. A great shot! |

Harry, I believe your draganizing this gentleman certainly added character. I just don't want you to ever do that to my face! I think that your darkening the background isolated him well. My eye is drawn to that one darker pattern on his sweater to the left of his beard, and perhaps that could be softened. I feel this is a very striking photo, but I wonder what it would look like if the draganizing effect were not so strong, bringing out the lines in his face but looking more realistic. Don't know if that is possible with that filter. |

Al, I believe you did a fine job of depicting the atmosphere of the street fair. I like the vibrancy of the various colors and shapes of the baskets. Knowing it was difficult to isolate just the display, I feel you caught the mood by having the lower baskets and the rear baskets soft, thus concentrating on the center. In my opinion, though, that leg and foot should be cloned out as my eyes are drawn to it, as well as the spot in the lower left corner of the ground. Otherwise, a nice catch of a difficult display to isolate. |
