My husband being a University of Florida graduate, would love these colors. Your perspective of shooting at higher ground, I feel, gives the image a WOW factor that you would not see at ground level. From what I can see on my monitor, the entire image is tact sharp, and the colors you have captured are amazing. You had me go to the internet to learn a little about what causes these colors. In my opinion, you took advantage of the natural lines of water coming in or going out to catch my eye. I'm glad you didn't wait until there were no people on the walk because I feel this adds so much drama not only to the size but the interest people have. WONDERFUL SHOT! |

Al, what a beautiful image you captured. I like the C-shape of your leading curve of the rocks in the forefront and following through with the mountains. I believe the contrasting color of the yellow gives the mountains depth. When I read your setting of f5, my thought was that with my camera I probably would have used f16 and maybe bracketed. I see the others have made that comment also about the fStop. I believe that would have given your colors more richness. You were blessed to have the opportunity for taking such a shot. |

Hung, you amaze me how you can sharpen our pictures. You need to give us a lesson.

Gary, in my opinion, your original presentation with the muted colors gives it a ghostly appearance. I believe that the perspective that you used especially gives it the appearance of being whisked away. My only suggestion would be to crop about 1/3 of the sky (at the end of that right straight section of brick) that I think will put more emphasis on the building. I love the shot. |

I feel you have captured an image that is almost abstract. I like the natural way the wake draws you into the picture and slowing fades away. I agree with Al to crop the sky just above the mountains--or even to the edge of the water to give it a more abstract appearance.

Hung, I like what you did in darkening the green. You asked me how to make a frame. Do you use PhotoShop? |

Harry, hope you continued to dodge the bullet. Wonder if you've been out there with your camera.
I like the composition of your lesding lines that draw me to the steering wheel, especially the high-lighted areas of the upholstery and dashboard. I feel the side window exposure could be decreased some to keep the image within the car. I'd like to see some shots of the bodies. |

Piers--always a challenge to me to catch a bird in flight.
My eyes are immediately drawn to the catchlight. Although you feel it could be sharper, I believe you have succeeded in gettimg a fine image, especially with tracking as close as you were. I do think the busy water and lack of contrast might be contributing to the heron not popping as much as it could. But we can't control the seas! Nice shot, and I look fiorward to seeing more |
