Hi Steve,
A bit late, but I wanted to reply to your question. I applied NIK Silver Efex Pro to the entire image and did no masking of parts of it. Ditto for the NIK Color Efex Pro, utilizing the Detail Extractor filter.
Steve...if you want to really ramp up your outcomes on images, the NIK Collection is almost a must have. I know a lot of pros who use it. |

Hi Henry,
Well seen and captured. IR made the day with the harsh light. I might darken the whole image ever so slightly to downplay the highlights just slightly. |

Greetings, Charles...keep on making photos of covered bridges when they come out like this one! The composition and toning are excellent in my view. One thing I noticed, or thought I noticed, was a slight (ever so slight) shift of the horizon line to the left. It would be a very easy fix. Also, a touch of additional contrast may well improve the visual impact even further from what you've created. See what you think of my adjusted version. |

I like this very much, Melanie. The candor of the two workers versus a posed expression makes it real for me. Great application for IR...and the little bit of cloud wafting in the sky is just right. Well done. |
