Hi Henry,
A magical place, and a splendid composition. The 3 trees are perfectly placed, and the image screams of texture and lines. What I personally find missing is contrast. You have the Levels set just fine, but I darkened the image 14% and added a touch of contrast. I didn't want to lose any detail in the stubble and earth. Here's my adjusted version just as an alternative. Wish I could make it back here one day... |

Hi Emil,
When we all visit and photograph in the Smokies, my fellow photo friends refer to our many "rocks and water" images! The area is replete with them, and they are so beautiful and tranquil. I like your version, especially your post processing. Here's a slightly different view, done in panoramic style as I didn't feel the large rock lower lh side was adding much to the composition. |

Hi Palli,
As I've written, we will miss you! This is a very strong 'last image' as it were...the contrast and the tones are well done in your post-processing. For some reason, I'm troubled by the top of the tree being clipped off in the composition. Was there a chance to include it with a wider lens choice? |

Hi Charles,
Yes, this just HAD to be photographed. I like the tonality and the minimal post-processing. The repetition/patterns of the instruments is eye-catching in my view. Nicely done. |

Hi Jack,
In answer to your questions...I like the composition and the processing of the tree foliage. You've nicely incorporated the effects of IR into this scene. My one niggle is that my eye keeps going to the water in the moat and the left of the image, since it's the highlight area of the image. I don't know a way around this unless you were much further to the right or you took this from a much lower angle. |

Classic, Arik...classic. Well seen and executed with only normal and modest post-processing. I'd have made it mildly lighter and with higher contrast, but as you know that's more my personal style. |

Heh, Melanie...I like this very much! It has an ethereal quality to it with the combination of IR on the trees and the blue tonality. Would be a wonderful image for a "Welcome Spring" greeting card! |
