Hi Emil,
Thanks for the feedback. Hadn't noticed the roof 'til you mentioned it, but you are absolutely correct...where's the rusted roof with holes in it? Guess the farmer is still using the building! |

Thanks Arik...always good to have your views. To my eye, the stronger texture just adds to the ageing and the story line, but that's very subjective. |

Thanks Jack...by the way, the weeds that appear to be growing out of the wagon ARE indeed growing out of the wagon! It's been there a while I guess! |

Hi Emil,
Simplicity and tranquility...I like this a lot. To my eye, however, it looks better and more proportioned to crop it as a square. I increased contrast in the foreground grasses and added my old friend, Detail Extractor from ColorEfex Pro. See what you think. |

Hi Melanie,
The black background created with IR is stunning in this one. Sure, we'd all like some delineation between flower and leaves...but IR doesn't allow it. Very well done and visually appealing. |

Hi Henry,
Well seen! I wish we had more weeping willows in our area, as they are wonderful subjects for IR. I was somewhat confused with the blending of the willow into the sky/clouds behind, so I tried masking and darkening the willow a bit, darkening the corners, and finally removing the walkway/path with Content Aware Fill. It's simply one more view...what do you think of it? |

Hi Palli!
A piece of photographic art in my humble opinion! Just filled with places to look and various shapes, sizes and forms. I like this very, very much, and your post-processing attention has made the day! I think the spelling is "hodgepodge", but that's a minor point. |

Hi Charles,
Don't sell yourself short on this image! There's a lot here, and we all probably have our own view of how we'd have done it or processed it. As you likely know by now, I'm not personally a fan of the partial color in an infrared capture, but that's my own bias and problem, not yours! Here's my adjusted view, entirely in monochrome, with a fair bit of cropping, dodging, levels and curves adjustments. I'm sure all will have their own views. One thing...wish you'd have had a longer exposure to give the water more of a ribbon flow. |

Greetings, Jack!
My first impression was 'lighten the stones slightly'. The more I look, the less I feel that's necessary. It DOES add to the mood. I'm not bothered in the least by the closed gate...it's too small in the frame to be an obstruction imho. Cambodia must be a fascinating place, filled with IR possibilities galore. Of all the many places I've been the World, I've missed Cambodia... |

Hi Arik,
Moody, peaceful, simple. You have an eye for what works, even in the simplest of scenes. Perfect for IR as you said. I'm not personally keen on the blueish border added with Topaz Texture Effects 2, but it has caused me to download this software so I too can 'experiment'! |
