Thanks Henry,
We're learning and exploring as we go. My image this month was only to show another Generative AI application. It is NOT a photograph per se; it's my artistic rendering of the scene using AI. As I mentioned last month, these images are not allowed in PSA international exhibitions. My 'exploration' if you will is simply that--using a new tool or two that Photoshop provided in their latest version. |

I wasn't able to see Arik's ZOOM session two days ago, but hopefully you were and got some insight into using generative AI in the latest version of PhotoShop. If you have the monthly subscription, you can easily upgrade whatever you are using now to the latest version. The tool is shown under EDIT, along with the Replace Sky tool. Thanks for the feedback, Charles. |

Thanks Jack...I always benefit from the feedback. I'm curious, however, as to why this isn't able to "come together" for you like a natural IR image? Does it look manipulated or contrived? Can you see elements that suggest AI was used to develop the final image? |

Hi Emil,
I concur with my fellow members...this scene would be much improved with some sharpening and contrast in my view. See my adjusted image as a comparison. I haven't been here in over 25 years, but I remember it like yesterday--very impressive country. By the way...when you increase sharpness and contrast, you pick up dust spots in the sky. Very quickly, I counted 9 when I scanned across the clouds. Easily removed. |

Hi Palli,
You've done a superb job with the sepia and the outside border...it really emphasizes the sand and textures. I'm not sure IR has added anything to your impact overall, but nonetheless, you have created a strong presentation in my view. |

Hi Charles,
This is just a classic...beautiful foreground, mid-ground and background. The clouds are superb, and you've made it expertly composed in my view. |

Nicely done, Jack. I like it. Look into the sky and there are two small spots, far right and in the middle, that are likely true gaps in the clouds but can easily be spotted out. I noticed them, so it was a minor distraction for my eye. I am not bothered at all with the lack of being 'tack sharp' on the foreground figures. |

I really like the candor of this one Melanie. Well done on 'seeing it' and managing to get an image. I'm not sure IR is helping you any here versus conventional B&W, but so be it...the image is superb. I might try cropping in a bit on the boy as he's relatively small in the scene overall, considering it's a portrait or street candid. See what you think of the adjusted version attached. I also very mildly lightened both eyes to the point of seeing the catch light. |

Hi Arik,
Not surprisingly, your vision in capturing this scene is wonderful. The composition just leads you in from the grumpy guy to the crowd. As for the mixed colors, I'm not as enamored with those. It is clearly a problem of mine as my peers seem to like the idea. I'm more of a pure black/bold whites photographer when it comes to IR. |
