Thanks Arik...sure appreciated your critique at Riviera Camera Club this past week. It's a small world sometimes, isn't it?! |

Thanks Charles...the group is 'voting' about 50/50 on the birds, or maybe it's more like 60/40 against! It was an interesting experience. |

Thanks Melanie...looks like our group is about 50/50 on birds/no birds! I see both points of view! |

Thanks much Jack...surprised you with a 'softer' rendition! The bird addition is blowing hot and cold with the group...tending to be too much I fear. I do like to experiment! |

Thank you Emil...I appreciate your rendition. Yes, the addition of the birds has been about 50/50 with the group on whether or not to have added them. I can see both points of view. I'm afraid your crop at the bottom is a bit too much for my tastes, but thanks for taking the time to give me this view of the scene. |

Hi Charles,
Your choice of minimal skies is a good one in my view. I like the overall 'feel' of this scene, and of course the leading line of the stream is a plus for composition. My only thought is that there is a lot of mid-ground of white/IR before you get to the falls themselves, so I wonder if there were other compositions/angles/views? What about a lower camera angle? |

Hi Jack,
You know me...needs a little 'bump' in the contrast and the blacks, but I stayed with a bit of toning. The bikes are way too close to the borders for my taste...respecting why you did it to eliminate the curbing. I've added some 'bottom' and allowed in a tad of the curb/road on the right. Also straightened this as the horizon line was tilting a bit. This tells a wonderful story. See if you like my rendition. |

Hi Henry,
Looks like a location I'd love to visit. Beautiful flower so well captured in infrared. I am still a bit conflicted with the lines in the stone/wood of the background. Can those be brought down somehow? If only...a black cloth drape over the fence in the b/g to yield a bold white on black! |

Hi Emil,
Perfect title...and the image overall reminds me of a fine art painting. Well done. Excellent control of the contrast and the blacks and whites. |

Hi Palli,
This might make a wonderful book cover (original 2) for your presentation of "The Magical Effects of Infrared". I like it for what it is, a simple depiction of the side yard of a home site with a large tree overflowing with green leaves. There's not a lot of impact or dramatic presentation, but for the right purpose, it works. |

Hi Arik,
You and I did similar things this month...albeit for different purposes. I like the impact and visual appeal of this image very much. Very moody and ethereal. |

Just...WOW! This image is MEMORABLE, Melanie. High impact, great leading lines, and that reflection of the trees in the lake is simply awesome. I have nothing to suggest! |
