Thanks Emil...I'm sure my young lady isn't possessed, but infrared and a little help from ON1's filter set helped her to be so! |

Thanks much, Charles. Yes indeed...lighten those eyes! It has been done as many of our members suggested! |

Thanks Palli...
I opted for the red to emphasize the title POSSESSED (typo on the presentation page!), but I take your point. |

Thanks Jack...I would have expected this comment from you and truly welcome this as another pair of eyes giving an opinion. I did struggle a bit at first with whether or not to crop off that top bit! |

Emil...wonderful scene, filled with atmosphere and mood. If you decided to stay in black and white, have a look at my adj version. I darkened the top as Arik did using a graduated ND filter, corner darkening, then added a Luminar filter that softens everything and restores the mood, in my humble opinion.
Even though I worked on your cropped version, I tend to like Arik's more inclusive foreground version better. |

Greetings Palli...
Moody and well composed. This is an excellent application of IR. I wonder, however, about the title and scene overall.
The waders are so insignificant in my view in the composition that it may be better to remove them. In my adj version, I did just that, then added a MYSTIC filter from Skylum Luminar 4 (Luminar 4>Creative Looks>Mystic). A title might be something like "Victorian Beach Allure" or "Moody Victorian Beach", etc.. What do you think? |

Hi Jack,
Wow! I'm envious...a trip to Cuba! I got to go in the Fall of 2018 and will never forget it. You know what I'm going to write! I darkened the sky, straightened the verticals on the bridge and applied Detail Extractor from DxO Nik Color Efex Pro. Here's my version for what it's worth. You have a wonderful composition, and I wonder if most viewers would realize the larger car is a 50's-early 60's model? |

Greetings Melanie,
Count me into the 'darker sky' camp! Here's my version after Detail Extractor from DxO NIK Color Efex Pro and some overall darkening of the sky area. I think this version has more dramatic appeal. Your composition and rendering of this iconic scene is just superb...great catch of the little tree growing out of the top of one of the peaks! |

Hi Charles,
As you well know by now, I'm the 'contrast and detail' guy when it comes to IR. It's all a subjective choice as to what we feel presents the greater visual impact--soft and moody or sharp and bold. Here's my rendition of the latter...see what you think. By the way, the composition and story telling value of your image is simply superb in my view. |

Hi Arik,
I like this very, very much for the tonality, the composition and the use of IR to capture the silhouettes. Keeping detail in the background is just a bonus to this beauty! The overhead window structure, coupled with the floor design, make it a sure winner in my book. |
