Hi Henry,
Ah, yes...Techatticup as we called it when we lived in Henderson, NV. I've made many a trip here, often shooting models among the oldie vehicles and structures. I like your image but wanted to bump it up a bit with Detail Extractor, a corner darkening, and slightly lowering the brightness. See what you think of my version. It's just another view of the world...yours is very well done in its own right. |

Happy 2023, Emil!
I like this a lot. I'm a big proponent of Detail Extractor, but I agree with Arik on it possibly being a bit 'heavy' at times. This one works for me very nicely. My only one slight concern is that I wish the walking pathway wasn't there to create even more of the 'other wordly' sense. Maybe a lower camera angle? Cropping it out loses that wonderful foreground grassy area. |

Happy New Year, Palli!
Well done just 'seeing' this scene. I very much enjoy your post-processing with very rich blacks and whites. Just for fun, I processed this myself and used a rather significant crop to emphasize just the beautiful collection of foreground grasses. I'd say it's simply a second view of a great scene. Let me know what you think. In my humble opinion, this version may have a bit more 'artsy' feel to it? |

Hi Charles,
I'm a bit taken aback from the predominance of blue in this one. It's a great scene, and what you've done with the post processing is certainly commendable. It's my problem entirely that color IR must be just a 'wow' for me to really appreciate it fully. Like Jack, I'm a bit of a black & white purist. |

Hi Jack,
Your composition and processing are just excellent on this one. As Palli would say "top marks"! This scene really lends itself to the IR medium. |

Arik,
I personally like the square format and the emphasis on the house. The tints, however, trouble me. I wonder why swapping channels would be necessary if you take this to all tones in Black and White, such as available in DxO Silver Efex Pro? |

Hi Melanie,
Score it high for the superb blacks and whites. That large triangle of white upper left distracts my eye greatly from the tree. I'm not sure about the high contrast and the loss of the sand detail? GREAT experimenting, however...my kind of thing in that regard. |

Hi Jack,
Totally agree...apart from contrast and the relative blacks and whites, there isn't a lot in this scene to benefit from IR. Still, I wanted to use IR and try some options from there. |

Hi Palli,
Thanks as always for your kind comments. You've confused me, however, on the comment about Framing. Jack sort of liked it, while Arik didn't. If you're with them on the frame...in which direction?! As mentioned to Arik, the frame is a part of the albumen overlay, and I quite like it myself. |

Thanks for the feedback Arik. The frame is actually a part of the Albumen filter/overlay. I must say, I like it, and it gives a novel and 'dated' appearance to the scene. |
