Thanks Emil...thus far, over several decades, the mulberry has been several iterations of the original tree. They now have a state tree expert caring for it! |

Welcome Henry...so good to have you join us. You've started out on a high note with this one; so much so, in fact, it's encouraged me to get out my color IR camera and do some more shooting with it.
For fun, I straightened the towers just a smidge, cropped bottom and right just a smidge, and added a dash of contrast. This is meant to be just another view of the world. Again, welcome to DD66 and help us all learn and grow in our use of infrared! |

Hi Emil,
I, too, never tire of barn images...especially in IR. And, like you, I wince at seeing them either fall down on their own or be razed for the next subdivision! This is wonderful. I agree on the contrast comments. One thing no one has mentioned if you thought of printing this or entering it in an online competition...you have several dust spots in your sky. They are subtle on a small jpeg, but they are there when enlarged. |

Greetings, Palli...My thoughts resonate with yours on the 'grab shot' you have made of this little girl. The idea is really superb. My struggle with the image, even given the moving water of the waterfall, is the prime focus on the girl's face. The attached version added a dash of sharpness to the face and upper torso...very subtle I know, but look at the eyes for comparison. Let me know what you think. The ability to see and capture this 'decisive moment' as Cartier-Bresson would call it is wonderful. |

Hello Charles...I added a dash of contrast to the whole scene, see what you think. This is beautiful, and the bench/blue/mood are impressive. Well done. |

Hi Arik,
Another piece of monochrome fine art in my book. Beautiful. I may be the only one to notice, and I hope it is not over-analyzing, but I see the contrail just above the roof peak. It caught my eye as a distraction. You removed it to the right of the structure wonderfully, but should it be gone entirely? |

Hi Melanie...I'm late in replying this month, but without reading any of the other comments first, let me say I think this image is simply splendid as it is! You and Jack are on the same wavelength this month! Detail Extractor and Darken/Lighten Center have added wonderful value and impact to the scene. If there was anything at all to do with this image, it might be to see if you could lighten the distant-most mountains that are currently in the shade. |

Greetings, Jack!
I did nothing more than set a black point and a white point in LEVELS, plus darkened the entire image a dash. I also added a mild burn to the side grasses. To my eye, it adds more drama and impact to a wonderfully composed image. |
