66 May 21 Reply Palli,

I don't think you need worry about a re-shoot. The attached version has the lower text, and also the reflected upper text (on the handrail, right) removed via Content Aware Fill and a little touch up. I took the liberty of mildly cropping your original and also boosting contrast. My intent was to instill an even more 'edgy' sense of emptiness inside the large, indoor shopping mall. See what you think...

66 May 21 Comment I like the version 2 for the removal of blue on the banks of the body of water but would still prefer the higher saturation of cyan and blue in the water itself. Here's my take on the scene... May 8th
66 May 21 Comment Hi Melanie,

Leave in the second building for a sense of scale and balance! I love your perspective here...a fine image overall. I might think of applying some noise reduction in the final version. Choosing the bold blacks and whites here makes for a dramatic, high impact scene. Well done!

66 May 21 Comment Hi Emil,

Who am I to critique your art? You have created a piece that suits you, and that's all that matters. I do agree with Jack that there are all kinds of 'variations on a theme' that one could do with this. Attached is my version. I masked the sky and applied Topaz impressions (chirascuro painterly) to the sky. I enhanced the levels and picked a new 'black point' to make the impression more 'dark' and 'bold'. See what you think.

66 May 21 Comment Hi Palli,

This is a wonderful storyteller! I'm not sure infrared is making any difference in the capture, given there's not much inside that would reflect IR and have that classic look. Just the same, the image is well composed and tells that story very well about the scarcity of shoppers during Covid. I believe I'd remove 'kids' but leave 'David' as an anchor to the fact it's a shopping center void of shoppers!

66 May 21 Reply Thanks Arik...the light is everything, as we so often say... May 6th
66 May 21 Comment Hi Charles,

In my opinion, this is an image with a strong composition and quality tones in the IR spectrum. The slight brown toning adds to the warmth of an obviously sunny day. I wonder if you'd consider a slight increase in contrast to give the image more impact (my subjective feeling of the 'after' version).

66 May 21 Comment Greetings, Arik...

What a mood! Tranquility personified. I like the entire composition, log in the middle included. What DOES trouble me just a bit is the blue tone picked up in the shore foliage lower lh side and on the other shore middle of frame. I would prefer the channel swap to be done selectively on the water only, giving a contrast between the IR induced white of the banks, coupled with the mood of the blue and the fog across the water.

66 May 21 Comment Hi Jack,
Wonderful scene! I see this more as a vertical, and I've attached my version for you to consider. What an interesting street scene, enhanced by the use of infrared.
