Hi Emil,
I'm late to the party this month and don't want to duplicate comments. I love to see all of us revisiting images we've taken previously and visualizing new approaches to processing them. There's a lot of 'subject' here, and to my eye, just choosing what you want to emphasize and allowing post-processing to help you do that is the key for this one. I believe I'd really like it with the waterfall emphasized and a full range of tones. |

Hi Palli,
Through the Arches works wonderfully for me...high impact, and the white window frame on the left is magical. I take the point about removing the little bit to the left of it, but it's not a major distraction for me. You have all kinds of toning possibilities with this one, Palli, but I like the blue tone very much. A competition entry from my perspective! |

Hi Charles,
I really enjoy the visual effect of this image...it's powerful in my opinion. Wonder if you'd consider another alternative view of it...making the overall color balance favor 'blue' and 'cold' or 'dark'...and taking the sky in the areas without cloud to jet black. See if you like this...I'm not suggesting it's preferred to your creation. |

Hi Jack,
I've been here many a time...and you captured it wonderfully. Palli already commented on the minor merge. You've noted it too...otherwise...a stunner! IR is a great medium for this scene and the portrayal of desolation. Wonder how hot it was when you were there to take this one. I assume it wasn't July or August!!! |

Hi John,
Great colors. I do think that selective lightening and then saturation boosting or at least warming of he backlit trees is in order to give the whole scene more impact and visual appeal. |

Melanie...I really like this. The color version is superb and has an eerie quality to it that is appealing to my eye. You've caused me to want to get out and set up the tripod and do some of these again like I did years and years ago. This time...with IR and a long lens. Well done. |
