Thank you Emil...you are so right about IR and eye sockets...often the models have a Zombie appearance in IR, especially in a brightly lit situation. This was a fun departure for me. |

Thank you Charles...you may be correct about the face, yet I do enjoy the brightness of the face without the tones that one would see in color. This was simply my 'fun' experiment with color IR from a plug-in...but I appreciate and enjoy everyone's reaction to it. |

Hi Emil,
My kind of subject! Your composition and leading lines of bean plant rows are superb. For my eye, the unique colors you've chosen aren't as impressive as the B&W version. I wonder if our wonderful Melanie has inadvertently swapped the original with the processed version??? |

Hi Palli,
Well done on the cropping!!! I like this very much overall. My only question is...given this smallish jpeg I cannot tell...are we sharp front to back with this one? If not, the clouds in the foreground reflections really need to be tack sharp in my opinion. The vignette adds a wonderful mood for me, and you've post-processed very nicely sir! |

Hi Charles,
I'm not a crop-fanatic like some of my photo friends who feel nearly every image merits some kind of crop. When I first opened this one, however, I had a feeling the Bather is simply too small in the frame, especially given all that's going on behind him or her! Also, the shore by the Bather is quite overexposed it seems to me. I did crop for a change and added a little density to the bright water reflecting the shoreline...and ditto for that shoreline. See if more of a pano has any appeal to you at all. |

Hi Melanie,
Your idea of 'revisiting' is probably something many of us have done. I sure have.
I like the image a great deal...it's classic Monument Valley/Southwest for me. I have only one wish...and not at all possible given this one is from the 'files'...and that is to want you just ever so slightly left of where you are standing. Why? To prevent the tree merge into the right-most structure in the background. Wonderful tones and a bold, classic IR sky. |
