66 May 20 Comment I like it Emil! For my eye, the darkening is a bit heavy-handed, but that's very much a personal preference. I might suggest some selective cloning of the background fencing, handrails, etc. to give a fully natural look to the scene, including darkened mulch and walkways...the bold blacks and white really fill this image with photographic art in my opinion. 66 May 20 Comment Greetings Palli,

Beautifully post-processed with bold blacks and white. What a tranquil scene! My only critique is that my eye is wandering around the image and not seeing a composition that anchors me. You might experiment with darkening the grass in the left/middle to see if you can bring it down and keep my eye more on the stream and reeds surrounding it? Is the attached a stronger composition?

66 May 20 Comment Very tranquil and peaceful, Charles...I like this image. The coloration says 'cold', quiet, peaceful. The road leads nicely to the bridge. I wish we had a less foliage-covered bridge to make it more distinct in the scene, but given the conditions, that wasn't possible. I'd love to see this in a large print. May 4th
66 May 20 Comment I like the crop as is, Jack. This is classic post-processing for you...subtle and artful. This image appeals to me very much for it's fine art style. Personally, I'd work more on the contrast, but that's a personal choice. May 4th
66 May 20 Comment Hi Ernie,
You have achieved OTHERWORLDLY in my view! I like what you've done, especially the blue toning. I've always liked lens flare, but I think that's a minority view among most photographers. What I think would help this in terms of your otherworldly intent is to clean up the background as much as you can...wires, buildings, etc. I did a CRUDE clean up with some software I have, and the attached shows what I mean. It by no means was done with finesse or the time required, but it gives you the general idea. What I'm saying is, take away more of the 'reality' to move to otherworldly! See if you agree.

66 May 20 Comment Hi Melanie,

Always enjoyable to see color IR, and you are good to keep at it and 'play'. I like the bold coloration in this. I'd like more foreground detail personally, like the original. Including the bench is a real plus. I think you have a lot of options with this image--I'd suggest altering it with different filters or techniques and see what evolves!
