This looks great Ernie...I only knew about the leaning shack having photographed it myself when we lived in Las Vegas a few years ago! I don't have one this powerful with that beautiful sky. |

Like this much better, Melanie. Tough light...you improved it a great deal. |

Thanks Ernie! I thought about the twigs lower left and decided they weren't distracting, so left them in. Yes, we'll see how this travels in the exhibitions! |

Thank you Melanie...this is one of those 'serendipity' images. I think the 18mm focal length and f11 gave me almost infinite depth of field from front to back. |

Thank you Charles. Taken on a trip to Ireland last year near Kinsale. |

Thank you very much, Jack. We shall see what the judges think of this one in international PSA exhibitions. I've mentioned before...they are very "off and on" when it comes to IR, but I'll give it a run just the same! |

This has a wonderfully mysterious mood about it...enhanced, I think, by the tree sculpture. I think your post-processing has been done very well. My only concern is the cropped top of the sculpture...why clip it off at the top? If the top branch was troubling you in terms of the overall composition, perhaps consider some selective cloning to give the tree its top without making it look cut off. |

I like it, Palli. Wonderfully processed and a good time to use the blue tinting. Your title is telling us a story. Well done. |

Thank you Palli...yes, this one's on its way to the exhibition circuit very soon. I'll let you know how it fares...IR images seem to blow hot or cold but seldom place in the middle in these salons around the world. |

Splendid subject for IR, Charles, and very nicely composed. I realize we look at jpegs in the dialogue of less than 1mb, but I question if you have critical sharpness in this one. It was on a tripod, so surely the original is 'tack sharp', and this one wouldn't be doing justice to the focus of the original? |

Very tough subject with this lighting, Melanie. Even with helping out the details in the elephant, the subject really appears too contrasty and lacking adequate detail for me. You didn't get to choose of course, but my preference would have been to not have shot it so 'head on' and maybe gotten a bit more profile with a chance for more detail in the body. |

Hi Jack,
I'll surprise you...I like the contrast just as it is! There's a great mood with this image and the lowered contrast adds to that mood in my opinion. My only concern is your Levels...is there a true black and white in this image, or do you not want those end points in this image? |

Hi Ernie,
I think this image, thanks to that sky, is filled with impact and a wonderful story. Well done. Rhyolite is quite a place, and IR is a good medium for this old ghost town. I wonder about one thing...is your horizon slanted downward from left to right? |
