Hi Emil,
This is a fascinating scene...almost has an Asian temple feel to it. Most unique. I simply cloned the white spot upper l.h. corner, adjusted Levels to give a true white point, and used Viveza to lighten two of the trees on either side of the jewelbox. The latter adjustment might/might not be a good idea in retrospect. See what you think of this...I thought it a bit flat when I first opened it in PS. So close to your home, you have all kinds of chances to take this scene under various conditions and weather. |

Hi Palli,
So, so good to have you back with us!!!
I really like your choice of subject and the treatment you have applied to it. What I can't get past is the merge between the baboon's head and the wall...I can't help wanting for an even lower, or a much higher, camera angle and perspective. |

Hi Charles,
Well done on experimenting and going 'coloring outside the lines'! It's certainly different and uses IR in its color form for good effect in my view. My only thought on an improved composition is that there is a lot of mid-ground grass that doesn't have much to offer the viewer as I see it. |

Jack,
It's by no means a cliche image...and the fence lead is perfect to my eye. This has a great mood, and the starburst is a bonus. I have one constructive crit with it overall...I look over the fence, through the gorgeous field, to a single-storey set of buildings without a lot of impact or intrigue? |

Hi Melanie,
Some might say "too central"...I like it just where it is, and you know how I like old, abandoned buildings and other structures! Well seen. I took this into Color Efex Pro and did just two things...Detail Extractor and Darken/Lighten Center...see what you think. It's a little flat in my view as is. Detail Extractors did 'expose' a couple of dust spots in the sky, which I didn't remove so you could see them. |
