Hi Emil,
I really like this for the story it tells and the treatment in IR. The shadows created by the sun coming through the trees makes a very interesting dappling on the white grasses. About the bright shed and competition with the truck...I applied NIK Darken/Lighten Center and got the attached option. I also used Viveza to lighten the rear tires of the truck. See what you think. It's a strong image in my mind. |

Jack...very creative. I can't think of a thing to say beyond that but WOW...I truly like this image for it's portrayal of Fall and the story it seems to evoke. The sepia tint is a bonus. One of the strongest images I've ever seen from your excellent collection. |

Hi Ernie,
Firstly...TOP MARKS for seeing this and taking it in IR! What a moody image. The one thing bothering my eye was all the mottled water in the upper half of the frame and all the jet black in the lower half...didn't seem quite balanced to me. I took the image and used a combination of Content Aware Fill along with simple cloning to add some of those reflections into that black foreground. It is CRUDELY done for purposes of explanation...it could be much more elegantly done. After that, I used Color Efex Pro to add a black vignette to emphasize the back of the 'gator. What do you think of the alternate view? |

I like this very much, Melanie. To my eye, all the foreground whiteness is just a very effective frame for the segment of barn you are showing us. It has a mood and seems to tell us a story...well done. |
