Jack, as always...thanks very much for the comments. There is something to be said for 'squaring up' this one, and see if you find the attached version with additional cropping a bit more to your liking...it also allows those two hay rolls on each side to further 'anchor' the tree. Centering seems to work for the tree, but I'll value everyone's opinion on this. |

Hi Emil,
This is a very pleasant scene, and I enjoy the composition as you've presented it. The blur on the water is clearly helping the feel of quiet serenity. I've taken the liberty of applying Color Efex Pro, Darken/Lighten Center to this to accentuate the steam and give the image, in my view, more of a center of interest. See what you think. This would make a most pleasing print, especially on an art/matt paper. |

Hi Palli,
I really enjoy the 'flip' and find this whimsical and fun. It's unique, and I compliment you on the post-processing choices as well. I totally understand f/22 for the depth of field for the pipes, but I'd like to see some more blur and oof in that background to simplify the scene a bit. |

Hi Charles...works for me! Very nice rendering in color IR, splendid composition and effective exposure and appropriate contrast. Well done! (P.S. All I would say about the subject scene is that, to my eye, the fact that it's a cemetery is inconsequential and obscure due to the size of the stones and their distance from the camera.) |

Hi Jack,
I tried some options...but I doubt you'd like them. In my humble opinion, this just is a tough scene to photograph in a dramatic and effective way. There's simply too much merge between the tree and the complicated clouds in the sky for me. The composition as a result is confusing to my eye. |

Hi Peggy,
A wonderful scene...a place I've not had the benefit of visiting. My only suggestion is the need I feel for more detail and less lightness and contrast in the clouds. Otherwise, I think you've got all the elements for a fine photograph. |
