Emil..I really like this and the creative use of IR to capture it! The muted colors are a great addition...sort of like the early days of selective hand-tinting. Might I suggest you look at it with a slight boost in contrast to the overall scene. I've done that in the attached and also lessened the saturation of the green tree upper lh corner. For my eye, you either need to have less of the green as this version depicts or have it elsewhere in the scene in addition to the one tree. See what you think. |

What about this version, Palli??? Cropped, darkened around the edges, Duplex filter applied from Color Efex Pro, and some selective Content Aware Fill of distractions around the edges. This takes it to a complete abstraction, with the pathway leading one's eye to the darkness of the background. What do you think? |

Hi Palli,
Delighted to see you 'out there' enjoying the plug-ins and trying new things. In my view, the image as you've flipped it horizontally. I'm afraid the chaos of all the trees, coupled with the filter effect, causes me to be confused about the image and what you are trying to tell us with it. Darkening that bright center and taking only a portion of this frame into a vertical composition might be interesting in comparison. |

Hi Charles,
Wonderful black and whites in this image. The reflections are rendered very nicely, and IR certainly enhances the impact of the image overall. My only thought it that it's a 50/50 photo with the horizon line right in the middle of the frame, and that reduces the impact a bit for my eye. |

Moody, ethereal and rendered just beautifully, Jack. Print it and enter it in the monochrome print section in the PSA International competition which is open right now! This one's a keeper! |

Hi Ernie,
Wow! Love you getting 'out there' with the 10mm. I really like the chaos and the variability in this image...it's a classic structure rendered in IR. My only thought...had you been a bit more 'straight up' in your viewing, perhaps the circular structure at the top could have been include to complete those roof structure lines. |

Melanie,
This is classic in my view. The framing makes the image, and IR enhances that framing. My only modest crit is that the buildings in the background are relatively unimpressive in terms of photographic impact...size, age, arrangement, etc.. Nonetheless, an image to be proud of... |

Thanks, Melanie...agree, a little bottom cropping would be a good idea. |
