Hi Emil,
From my perspective...wonderful. Classic yellow/blue color IR done with a great composition and a good subject. Enter it! |

ALL...I have asked Melanie to swap these before you comment..the color version is my submission this month. The larger, mono version shown is my original capture. |

Hi Palli,
I truly like it as is. The sense of place is really maintained with the broader composition...and cropping anywhere would distract from the loneliness and the spontaneity of the boys playing and the dog guarding. Very well done in my view and a good candidate for the use of IR. |

I like it very, very much Melanie...those leading lines are fantastic. I have no suggestions for improvement personally. |

Happy New Year Ernie...how creative! I really enjoy seeing images like this that are 'out there'...and adding IR in my view adds to the impact of the image. Just for fun, I cloned palm leaves into two of the portals to make those the only background subject. The building in the one hole troubled me slightly as my eye was going there often. See what you think. |

Jack,
My first impressions were very positive toward this image...and my second and third as well! The simplicity and use of IR, especially in those two trees, is very appealing. I'm glad there were no clouds...to my eye it works better without them. One niggle...which isn't fixable...wish the tree on the right was merging through building #3. I might also remove the little intrusion of an implement or tool on the rh bottom side just to keep it clean. |
