Does the adjusted image attached have a bit more impact and drama? It is a choice point. For my eye, using Color Efex Pro 4.0 to apply the Darken/Lighten Center preset filter gives greater emphasis to the central trees which seem to be the most significant part of the composition. I like the depth of field personally but feel that something should be done to keep from looking all over this image for a place for the eye to land. Great contrasts and textures, Palli...and superb use of IR. |

What a subject for IR, Craig! Well composed save for what I'd consider a little heavy on the foreground snow. It's also a little dingy...but if it's brightened, it would detract the eye I think from the geyser. I'd crop some of it off. Also, look at the plume on the far right near the top...I'm seeing some color artifacts here which may be a function of the low res image size you loaded. Also in the middle plume near the top edge...some greens or cyans? This is one of competition after a few fixes in my view. |

What a wonderful 'street' scene...well captured. For me, the only thing needed is a correction of the verticals which is fairly simple. I really appreciate the composition and the storytelling value of what's happening here. |
